What this is, and what it isn't.

Spiritual counseling is not psychotherapy, medical care, or crisis care. Counselors here are graduates of the Ananda spiritual counseling course, not licensed clinicians. They will not diagnose you, prescribe anything, or advise you against what a doctor has told you.

If you are in danger or thinking of harming yourself, please contact your local emergency services or a crisis line now. This site cannot help with that, and a counselor who hears it will say the same and point you toward real help.

An hour with a counselor, free of charge, arranged by a fair rotation. We don't guarantee that an hour will be available when you want one, or that any particular counselor will be the one you meet. Sessions can be cancelled by either side up until they start.

• Come to the sessions you book, or cancel early so the hour can go to someone else.
• Treat your counselor as you'd want to be treated. We'll end access for anyone who doesn't.
• Keep what's said in the hour to yourself, as your counselor keeps it.
• Be over eighteen. This site is not for children.

Every session page has a quiet way to tell the admins that something concerned you. Use it. We read every one.
